Why this exists

Africa doesn't need another app that only takes cards.

Most ride software is built for cities where everyone taps a card and every street has a name. Ours starts from how people actually move here: cash in hand, a minibus on a fixed route, a driver who needs to know what the trip paid before they hand over commission.

Cash first, card when ready

Riders pay the driver in cash from day one. Switch on card and bank payments when you want them — and every cent lands in your own merchant account, not ours.

Minibuses and buses, not just cars

Fixed routes, rank-to-rank fares, a cheaper local fare for a short hop, and passengers picked up along the way. The way most of the continent already travels.

Safety that isn't an afterthought

ID checks before a driver goes online, a PIN before a trip starts, speed warnings, encrypted trip recordings and a control room that asks the rider "are you OK?" when something looks wrong.

What you get

Four pieces of software. One company.

Everything an operator needs to take a booking, send a driver, get paid and stay out of trouble — ready on the day you sign up.

Rider app

Book a car or a seat on a bus, watch the driver come, share the trip, pay cash or online, rate the driver, press SOS. Works on a cheap Android phone and a thin connection.

  • Book now or schedule for later
  • Live tracking and share-my-trip
  • WhatsApp and USSD booking for riders with no app

Driver app

Go online, take the job, follow the route, collect the fare. The driver sees exactly what the trip earned them and what you took — before they ask.

  • Earnings broken down trip by trip
  • Prepaid credit balance and top-ups
  • Speed warnings and in-trip safety tools

Operator dashboard

Your company's control room: drivers, vehicles, documents, zones, fares, promotions, commission, reports, safety alerts and your monthly bill from us.

  • Draw your service area and price it by zone
  • Approve drivers and check their documents
  • Earnings, trips and cancellations at a glance

Dispatch desk

For the bookings that come by phone. Your controller sees every car on the map and sends the right one, without the rider ever opening an app.

  • Book on behalf of a caller
  • Every driver on one live map
  • Reassign a trip when a car breaks down
The money

The fare is yours. All of it.

We are a software company, not a middleman. Your riders pay you, your drivers are paid by you, and once a month we invoice you for the software. Nothing is deducted from a trip.

Step one

The rider pays you

Cash to the driver, or by card and bank transfer into your own Paystack, PayFast, Ozow or Flutterwave account. Your keys, your settlement, your money.

Step two

You pay your driver

You set the commission and the cap on it. Drivers buy prepaid credit from you, or you settle from their in-app balance. They can see the maths on every trip.

Step three

We invoice you monthly

One invoice at the end of your billing month, for a small share of the fares you completed. Charge it to a card automatically, or pay it by hand. Your choice, changeable any time.

No fund splitting, no escrow, no waiting for a payout. We never sit between your rider and your bank account, so there is nothing of yours for us to hold, delay or lose.

The software nobody else built for the way Africa moves.

A route runs one way. Passengers get on where they stand and off where they like. A short hop costs the local fare; past that it's one price to anywhere on the route; between two ranks you set the price yourself. Cash to the driver, or paid in the app — you decide per route.

Safety

A rider's family should be able to sleep.

Crime is the reason people hesitate before getting into a stranger's car. We built the answers into the product instead of leaving them to a policy document.

  • Verified drivers. Selfie and ID checked before anyone goes online, with police clearance a required document.
  • A PIN before the trip starts. Held by the rider, never shown to the driver, locked after five wrong tries.
  • Speed warnings, then fines. You set the limit policy; repeat offenders pay out of their prepaid credit.
  • Encrypted trip recordings. Kept 30 days, opened only for a complaint or an SOS, every access logged.
  • Someone watching. Long stops, off-route driving and dark phones raise an alert and ask the rider if they're OK.

Drivers

Drivers leave platforms that treat them badly.

Across the continent the same three complaints come up: I don't know what you took, you switched me off without telling me why, and nobody answered. Each one has an answer in here.

  • They see the whole sum. Trip total, your commission, the percentage, tips, their share.
  • You can cap your own commission. Set a ceiling you will never go above — Kenya already caps it at 18% by law, and others will follow.
  • Switching a driver off needs a reason. They are told what it was, and they get one right of reply that lands in your queue.
Your territory

One operator, one area, one set of prices.

You run a company in your town, your city or your whole country. Draw the area you serve on a map and nothing outside it can book you.

Draw your service area

Mark the part of your city you cover. Riders outside it are told plainly that you don't go there yet, rather than waiting for a car that will never come.

Price by zone

Different base fare, per-kilometre and per-minute rates per zone and per vehicle type, with peak pricing for the hours that deserve it.

Your own currency and language

35 African countries come pre-configured with their currency, dial code and distance unit. Your apps speak your riders' language.

Pricing

You only pay us when your company is working.

Questions

The things operators ask first

Yes — and that part is yours. Skynat provides the technology and the hosting. You hold the operating licences your country and city require, you contract the drivers, and you carry the insurance. We will tell you plainly what the software does and does not do; we will never tell you that you don't need a permit.

You can sign up, draw your service area, set your fares and have your first driver on the road in an afternoon. What takes longer is the paperwork around you — licences, insurance, and getting drivers' documents in order.

You do. Cash goes straight to your driver. Online payments go into your own gateway account using your own keys. We never receive, hold or split a fare, which is also why we can't be the reason a payout is late.

A small percentage of the fares you completed, billed once at the end of the month rather than skimmed off each trip. You can see the running total for the month and for today in your dashboard at any time, so the invoice is never a surprise.

Your company name, logo and colours are in the product from day one, and your riders book through your own link. If you want your own app in the stores under your own name, that is the branded add-on — published from your Play Console and App Store accounts, so the apps belong to you and not to us.

Your company's records are kept separate from every other operator's. Riders and drivers can ask for a copy of their data or delete their account from inside the app or from a public page, and deletion really erases their personal details after a short grace period while your trip and payment records stay in your books. This is what POPIA in South Africa, the Data Protection Act in Kenya and the NDPA in Nigeria expect of you.

Your city is still waiting for a ride company that works.
